Palazzo Scotto in Alberobello: where we are and how to get here

The practical things, said upfront.

Palazzo Scotto is at Corso Trieste e Trento 30, on Alberobello's nineteenth-century main axis, a short walk from the Basilica. And no, the palazzo is not in a restricted traffic zone: you can drive right to it. Stopping, though, happens round the corner: Piazza Curri.

By car, and parking

  • The palazzo is not in a ZTL (restricted traffic zone): you can drive right up to the door.
  • There is no stopping on our street: in front of the palazzo there is nowhere to pull up.
  • Piazza Curri, round the corner: that is where you stop and unload the luggage.
  • The Marinelli garage, our partner, at an agreed rate: €25 a night. Booking goes through us — write to us and we'll arrange it. You drive there yourself (open 8am–1pm and 2pm–8pm) and they drive you back to the reception.
  • Largo Italo Svevo: a street where you can leave the car — free, and there is always room — about 400 metres from the palazzo.
  • Public street parking: €2 an hour, no booking needed.

By train and by plane

  • Alberobello station (Ferrovie del Sud Est, Bari–Martina Franca line): 450 metres from the palazzo, a ten-minute walk, nearly all of it flat.
  • Bari airport (Karol Wojtyła): about 55 km, an hour's drive.
  • Brindisi airport: about 70 km, an hour's drive.
  • On request we can arrange a private driver (NCC), priced by destination.

Widespread Collection

Five rooms are in the palazzo. The other four, the Widespread Collection, stand 40–150 metres from the door — as the crow flies: on foot it is one or two minutes. And that is their virtue: the quiet part of town, away from the crowds.

La Piccola and Trullo Maestro are on Vico Avv. Turi; Caminetto and Pietra are on Via Mameli. Arrival is always at the palazzo, at number 32: the reception is shared, at everyone's disposal.
